Welcome to La Isla’s Eastside home! Our Redmond restaurant brings the full island experience — slow-roasted pernil, made-to-order mofongo, scratch rum cocktails and a whole lot of salsa music — to downtown Redmond, Washington, just minutes from the bike trails, tech campuses and shopping that make this corner of the Eastside hum.

Hours

Every day: 11am – 11pm

Brunch is served Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 2pm, and happy hour runs every day from 3pm to 6pm, with late-night happy hour on weekends. See the full happy hour menu for prices and food specials.

Location

You will find us in downtown Redmond, WA — an easy stop after work, before a movie, or mid-ride along the Sammamish River Trail. For directions and the best way to reach us, please visit our contact page.

What to Order

First time in? Start with a round of empanadillas and the gandules dip, then go straight for the classics: pernil divino (our most popular dish), pastelón (the sweet-plantain “lasagna” many reviewers call our best plate), or a mofongo stuffed with garlic prawns. Save room for flan or tembleque — and yes, we pour coquito all year long. Browse the complete menu before you visit.

Brunch on the Eastside

Weekends from 11am to 2pm, the Redmond dining room turns into brunch central. The Puerto Rican breakfast — two over-easy eggs over homemade rice and beans — has converted more than a few pancake loyalists, the Portoricain French toast on pan sobao is what maple syrup was invented for, and the ‘Old San Juan’ bloody mary, with its sofrito mix and maduro garnish, may be the Eastside’s most photographed brunch beverage. Arrive early on sunny Saturdays; the post-trail-ride crowd knows exactly what it is doing.

Happy Hour, Every Single Day

Redmond’s happy hour runs daily from 3 to 6pm, with a late-night round Sunday through Thursday from 9 to 11pm and until 1am on Friday and Saturday. Two-dollar empanadillas, five-dollar mojitos and a plate of carne frita have rescued many an Eastside workday. The complete lineup of food and drink specials lives on our happy hour menu.

Getting Here

Downtown Redmond keeps getting friendlier to every mode of arrival: plentiful neighborhood parking, easy bus connections, and the Sammamish River Trail dropping cyclists practically at our corner of town. If you are making a night of it, the surrounding blocks offer dessert strolls, a movie theater and ample window shopping to walk off the mofongo. And for those visiting the nearby tech campuses: yes, we are the answer to “where should we take the visiting team for dinner.”

Reservations & Event Room

Redmond is the only La Isla location that accepts reservations, and we recommend them on weekends. Our private event room hosts parties of 12 or more — birthdays, team dinners, graduation feasts and family reunions all find a home here, with family-style platters of island favorites and a dedicated server. Send us a message for availability and pricing.

Planning a date night, a long-overdue catch-up or a “we survived the product launch” dinner? Tell our team when you book and we will set the table accordingly — the event room even has space for a projector, though we maintain that mofongo makes a better centerpiece than slides.

The Eastside’s Slice of the Island

When we opened on the Eastside in 2013, we weren’t sure Redmond was ready for bacalaitos and bomba. It turned out Redmond was more than ready — this location quickly grew its own crowd of regulars who debate empanadilla fillings as passionately as any sanjuanero. Come see why. Bienvenidos!
